"Rusagro", group of companies, has announced the completion of the sugar beet harvest season 2015, the total acreage harvested has made 71 000 ha (in 2014 – 63 000 ha), average yield – 35.7 MT/ha (in 2014 – 37.1 MT/ha), the total weight of the beets  accepted – 2 533 000  tons (in 2014 – 2 318 000 MT).
The Russian consumer prices of sugar rose by 0.2% from December 15 to 21 2015, from the beginning of the year the growth has made 13.4%, according to Rosstat.
According to regional price monitoring by sugar.ru in the period December1724, 2015, the dollar exchange rate has grown by 0.8% (On Dec 17 – RUR 70.40/US$; on December 24 RUR 70.93/US$). Moscow ruble price of sugar has grown by RUR 0.05/kg (+ 0.11%), in Krasnodar the price fell by RUR 0.30/kg (-0.71%). Moscow US dollar equivalent price of sugar fell by US$ 0.004/kg (-0.65%); Krasnodar price dropped by US$ 0.008/kg (-1.34%).

 
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, the trade volume of all the countries of the Customs Union in the first 9 months of 2015 have reached the following volumes:
 

• Imports of sugar (HS 1701) amounted to 1,107,494 tons for the total value of US$
• Import other sugars (HS 1702) amounted to 100 138 tons for the total value of US$
• Imports of molasses (HS 1703), amounted to US $ 1095 tons for the total value of US$ 263500
• Export of sugar(HS 1701) amounted to 18,888 tons for the total value of US$ 12,014,900
• Export other sugars (HS 1702) amounted to 6448 tons for the total value of US$ 3,024,800
• Export of molasses (HS 1703) amounted to 315 509 tons for the total value of US$ $ 27,313,900
