The Russian consumer price of sugar fell by 0.4% in the period December 8 to 14, 2015; while from the beginning of the year the total increase has reached 13.2%, according to Rosstat.
According to regional price monitoring by sugar.ru in the period from 12/10/2015 12/17/2015, the US dollar exchange rate continued to rise climbing finally by 1.7% (on Dec 12 the rate was RUR 69.20/US$; on Dec 17 – RUR 70.40/US$). Moscow ruble price of sugar has increased by RUR 1.30/kg (+ 3.08%), Krasnodar price rose by RUR 1.60/kg (+ 3.94%). US dollar equivalent Moscow sugar prices also grew by US$ 0.008/kg (+ 1.31%), in Krasnodar the US$ price has increased by US$ 0.012/kg (+2.04%).
By December 15, 2015 the national sugar industry has produced 1 403 000 tons of sugar (less by 562,500 tons than on the same date last year); the volume of sugar beets processed has made 9.56 million tons, said "Ukrtsukor."
Exports of water with sugar fell to 6 245 tons in November against 6 733 tons in October, according to the State Fiscal Service. The total volume of exports of water with sugar has made 78.9 thousand tons in January-November.
In January-November 2015 the average consumer price of sugar beet has made UAH 784.7 per metric ton (up by 58.3% compared to 2014), according to the State Statistics Service. The total volume of sugar beet sold in Ukraine amounted to 5 377 400 tons in January-November 2015 (22.4% less than in 2014).
