Ukraine has boosted exports of sugar 9.8 times in January-November compared to the same period in 2014. Volume of sugar exports has reached more than 215 thousand tons, which is caused by high production volume of sugar in 2014 and regarding supplies to the Crimea as exports.
Sugar plants in the Zhitomir region of Ukraine have completed juice extracting season. According to the regional administration, the sugar beet was harvested from total area of 12.3 thousand ha with bulk harvest of 607.5 thousand tons; the average yield has made 49.6 MT/ha. Sugar factories in region have processed around 400.0 thousand tons of sugar beet this year and produced 62.7 thousand tons of sugar.
In the first ten days of December 2015 the average consumer price of sugar fell by 0.9%, to UAH 15.17/kg from previous UAH 15.31/kg.
