Sugar mills in Penza region have accepted over 1.5 mln MT of sugar beets. The volume of refined beet sugar production has made 227 800 MT, according to the local agriculture authorities.
According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated December 8, 2015, total 43 vessels have been nominated to carry 1 418 800 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 1 126 330 MT from 35 vessels, based on sugar.ru data.
According to the analysis of FCS customs declarations conducted by Sugar.Ru, in October 2015 Russia imported, 6 thousand tons of white sugar from countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 10 months the volume of white sugar imports to Russia has reached 47.0 thousand tons (in 2014 - 92.1 thousand tons, in 2013 - 52.1 thousand tons).
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, consumer prices of sugar in the country rose by 10.9% in November 2015, and from the beginning of the year – 65.7%.
According to the report by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and analysis conducted by Sugar.Ru, the country has shown the following foreign trade sugar balance for 11 months (January - November) of 2015:

By the end of 10 months the volume of white sugar imports to Russia has reached 47.0 thousand tons (in 2014 - 92.1 thousand tons, in 2013 - 52.1 thousand tons).
- In the period January - October 2015, the main countries for sugar exports to Russia were Poland (32.30%) and Lithuania (29.51%). The largest importers of white sugar in 10 months of 2016 are "Megabalt" (26.87%) and "Rostrading" LLC (20.32%).
- In October 2015 Russia has exported 1800 tons of white sugar to countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 10 months the export of white sugar from Russia has made total 3.8 thousand tons (in 2014 - 7.0 thousand tons, in 2013 – 2.8 thousand tons).
- In the period January - October 2015 the main countries importing white sugar from the Russian Federation were Jordan (43.98%) and Ukraine (26.72%). The largest exporters of white sugar in the first 10 months of the year are the company "Altai Flour Mills" (43.98%) and "Valuykisahar" (10.15%).

- The value of sugar (HS code 1701) import has made US$ 1.097 million; in the report month - US$ 93 000.
- Import other sugars (HS code 1702) has made US$ 9883 million, and in the report month - US$ 766,000.
- Import of sugar confectionery (HS code 1704) has made US$ 19,726,000, in the report month - US$ 2.806 million.
- Imports of water with sugar (HS code 2202) have reached US$ 4.868 million; in the report month - US$ 425,000.
- Export of sugar (HS code 1701) has made US$ 46,595,000; in the report month - US$ 517,000.
- Export other sugars (HS code 1702) has made US$ 7.826 million; and in the report month - US$ 733 000.
- Export of molasses (HS code 1703) has made US$ 9.337 million; in the report month - US$ 304 000.
- Export of sugar confectionery (HS code 1704) has reached US$ 96,575,000; in the report month - US$ 8.88 million.
- Export of water with sugar (HS code 2202) has made US$ 36,319,000; in the report month - US$ 2.52 million.
