According to railway cargo monitoring data by Sugar.Ru, total 65 thousand tons of white sugar was delivered to Kyrgyzstan by rail transit Russia for 11 months of 2015. The main suppliers were Ukraine (50.5 thousand tons), Belarus (12.4 thousand tons), but in October-November deliveries of sugar to Kyrgyzstan have practically stopped.
The Kyrgyz government has instructed the State Reserve Fund to ensure 5 thousand tons of sugar from state reserves for humanitarian aid to residents of Osh region affected by the earthquake that occurred on November 17-18.
"Astarta-Kyiv" announced the completion of sugar beet harvesting season. The average yield made 55 tons/ha, sucrose content - more than 18%, sugar production yield - 15.6%. The volume of beet collected is not specified in the message.
Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine reported on the investigation on sugar price rally in the market. In October, wholesale sugar prices in Ukraine rose by 11% (up to 12.05 UAH / kg), and retail – by 15% (up to 14.3 UAH/kg). Today in Kiev supermarkets, sugar prices have passed the level of 18-19 UAH/kg.
According to the Statistics Agency, the price of sugar by manufacturers rose by 3.7% in November 2015; from the beginning of the year - by 23.5%.
