In the period November 17 to 23, 2015 the Russian consumer prices of sugar decreased by 0.4%; from the beginning of the year has increased by 14.7%, according to Rosstat.
According to price monitoring by sugar.ru in the period from 11.19.2015 11.26.2015 the dollar exchange rate grew by 1.1% (the cost of one USD was RUR 64.78 on November 19 and RUR 65.48 on November 26). Moscow ruble price of sugar fell by 0.30 rubles/kg (-0.73%), Krasnodar price fell by 0.20 rubles/kg (-0.52%). Moscow US dollar price of sugar decreased by $ 0.011 / kg (-1.74%), Krasnodar price decreased by $ 0.009 / kg (-1.50%).
Ukraine has introduced a special tax of 39.2% on imports of certain goods from Belarus, including sugar. Ternopol regional sugar plant has received 801.2 thousand tons of sugar beet including 770.7 thousand tons processed with 115.5 thousand tons of beet sugar produced from the beginning of the season and by November 24.
Agricultural enterprises, excluding the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, traded sugar at an average of UAH 8500.9 / ton without VAT in October 2015 (+23.8% vs. October 2014), the State statistics Service reports.
The national stocks of sugar amounted to 144.9 thousand tons by November 1, 2015 (+ 10.5% as of November 1 2014), according to the National STATCOM.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, for the first 9 months of 2015, Belarus has exported 257 thousand tons of sugar (HS 1701) to the countries of EAEC, of which 212 thousand tons were shipped to Russia and 34 thousand tons to Kazakhstan; as well 1.9 thousand tons of other sugars (HS 1702) delivered exclusively to Russia. In the same period Russia has exported 1.4 thousand tons of sugar and 4.9 thousand tons of other sugars. Belarus has also exported 2.5 thousand tons of molasses (HS 1703) to Russia.
