RUSSIA
"Dobrinsky sugar factory" plans to modernize the enterprise in the period 2016-2020, the modernization will improve systems related to the production of sugar resulting in reduction of environmentally harmful load on the ecology, etc. The total investment, earmarked for five year modernization, makes RUR 1.62 billion. The modernization of the plant includes the increase of DC capacity on beet to reach 12 000 at the first stage of implementation and 15 thousand tons by the end of modernization.

The first samples of sugar beet harvest 2015 in Orel region have revealed a low sugar content - from 13.8% to 14.8%, the safety indicators are within the established standards.
UKRAINE
China could open its borders for a list of agricultural products of Ukrainian origin, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. In particular, the Chinese officials have assured that there are no special and/or additional requirements as for quality of Ukrainian sugar.
KYRGYZSTAN
The Treaty of Accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC) has taken effect on August 12. Kyrgyzstan became a full member of the Union, together with Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.
