RUSSIA
The Russian consumer prices for sugar increased by 2% in the period from July 28 to August 3, 2015, according to Rosstat. From the beginning of August 2015 the consumer prices for sugar increased by 0.9%, and YTD growth has made 11.9%.

According Soyuzrossakhar figures as of August 5, 2015, sugar beet is processed at 13 sugar mills in Krasnodar and 1 plant in Stavropol region. Total volume harvested from the beginning of the season has made 290 thousand tons of sugar beets including about 230 thousand tons processed and with more than 20 thousand MT of beet sugar produced.

KYRGYZSTAN
Kazakhstan has become the latest country to ratify the treaty of accession of Kyrgyzstan to the EAEC. Previously the document was ratified by authorities of Armenia, Belarus and Russia.

The Assembly of the Eurasian Association of Sugar has given forecasts of sugar production in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC) in the season 2015-2016. With projected sugar consumption of 6.4 million tons, the volume of production of beet sugar is estimated at 5.4 million tons, up 8% from level of production last year. The gap of 1.0 million tons of sugar will be filled by imports of raw sugar and white sugar.
