RUSSIA

Agro association "Kuban" has decided to refrain from paying dividends for 2014 season. Total RUR 932.4 million of the net profit in 2014 will be channeled to increase operational capital. Another RUR 175.2 million of profits gained will go to finance capital investments.

At the conference organized by the main body of antimonopoly department in Chelyabinsk region the experts have refuted the "abnormal" rise in sugar prices, thus, refuting claims by Oleg Mnushko, the director of the factory "Zvezda Severa", made on the eve of the event. However, the antimonopoly service has launched investigation. The operation in the retail network is completed, putting an end to the fears of South Ural population; the wholesale market monitoring is on its way.

BELARUS

According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, the country has imported 106,000 tons of sugar in the solid state (HS code 1701) in January-May 2015, which is 56.8% less than in 2014. The total cost amounted to 39,175 thousand US dollars.

UKRAINE

In Ukraine, the average price for white sugar from producers increased by UAH 228 and has reached UAH 8063.54/MT in June 2015 (in May it was UAH 7835.54/MT), according to the State Statistics Service.

The average price for sugar amounted to UAH 11.53 / kg as of July 10, but has grown to  UAH 11.83 / kg as early as July (+ 2.6%), according to the State Statistics Service.

KAZAKHSTAN

“Sugar rush” began in Kostanay, the price of sugar rose by almost 55 Kazakh Tenge per kilogram. Now the lowest price for sugar in Kazakhstan is observes in Aktobe and Karaganda, where the value per kilogram does not exceed 140 Tenge. In Almaty, Aktau and Astana, and now – in Kostanay, the price of one kilogram has passed over 200 Tenge.

KYRGYZSTAN

The main suppliers of sugar to Kyrgyzstan in 2014 look as follows: Azerbaijan (28 thousand tons), Belarus (18 thousand tons), Ukraine (3.5 thousand tons), Russia (4.5 thousand tons) Kazakhstan (2 thousand tons), according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has initiated the increase in customs duties on imports of sugar from Ukraine, Erlan Zhusupov, the head of the Consumers Association of sugar, has told.
