RUSSIA

According to the monitoring figures by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the national sugar industry has processed 548.2 thousand MT of raw sugar and has produced 537.2 thousand tons of sugar as of July 6, 2015 (by 1% less than in 2014). Volumes of raw sugar imports have reduced by 9.7% in January-July 2015 (as of July 5) compared to 2014. In the week July 6 to 13, the wholesale price of sugar has increased by 0.6%, the retail price has decreased by 0, 3%.

In 2015 crops of sugar beet in Chuvash Republic reached have made total 1.2 thousand hectares, which is 59.4% more compared to last year.

UKRAINE

Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has prepared resolution, which proposes to abolish the minimum prices for sugar and sugar beet, as the mechanism of state regulation of the sugar market of Ukraine has not ensured the expected results. Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has increased the minimum purchase price of sugar by 36.7% for the period from 1 September 2015 until 1 September 2016 – to make UAH 6.5 thousand per MT (without VAT).

KAZAKHSTAN

In Kazakhstan the manufacture of raw sugar and refined cane or beet sugar has increased to 18.9 thousand tons in May, compared to 3.4 tons produced in April. In January-May production of sugar has made total 92.2 thousand tons. In May 2015 the price of imported sugar has increased by 5.7%.

According to the National Statistics Committee, the average consumer price of sugar was 12 320 Belarus rubles per 1 kg in June 2015.
