RUSSIA

Imports of sugar from non-CIS countries have reached US$ 24.8 million in May 2015. The value of imported in May decreased by 2.7 times compared to previous month, and has decreased by 48.4% in year-on-year terms (April 2015 to April 2014), the Federal Customs Service reported.

According to railway cargo statistics by Sugar.Ru, Belarus has delivered 115,500 tons of white sugar by rail to Russia in the first half 2015.

UKRAINE

Ukraine will fully provide itself with sugar at a level of 1.7 million tons in 2015, Aleksey Pavlenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, has announced. He has estimated the national production volume at 1.5 million tons of sugar, and the carry-over stock at 560 thousand MT.

KAZAKHSTAN

According to the Statistics Agency, the price of sugar from producers decreased by 2,8% in June 2015 compared to previous month; from the beginning of the year (vs. December 2014) – by 7.6%.
