RUSSIA
The Russian consumer price of sugar has dropped by 0.3% in the period June 23 to 29, 2015, according to Rosstat. From early June 2015, the consumer prices for sugar fell by 1.6%, whereas from the beginning of the year (end of December 2014) have grown by 9.5%.

Group of Companies “Rusagro” has informed about the end of sowing season in 2015. Sugar beet was sown on an area of 71,200 ha (+ 14% in 2014).

According to monitoring of regional prices by sugar.ru, in the period from June 25 to July 2, 2015, the exchange rate US$/RUR has grown by 2.6% (on June 25 – US$ 1 = RUR 54.07; on July 2 - US$ 1 = RUR 55.48). Wholesale Moscow rouble price for sugar decreased by RUR 0.40/kg (–0.99%), wholesale Krasnodar price has grown by RUR 0.10/kg (+ 0.26%). The US dollar equivalent prices have decreased in both locations: in Moscow by US$ 0,026/kg (–3.49%), in Krasnodar – by US$ 0.016 kg (– 2.27%).
UKRAINE
Agricultural enterprises of all forms of ownership (excluding the Crimea and Sevastopol) sold the sugar at an average price of UAH 7753.5/MT without VAT in May (in April the price was UAH 7670.6/t). Compared to May 2014, sale prices of sugar offered by producers have increased by 17.3%.

According to Ukrainian media, the third largest sugar producer in Ukraine – holding "T-Zukor" from Ternopol – has left the related market. The company has got rid of the six sugar factories total capacity of sugar beet processing 21 thousand tons per day which were previously owned by the holding. Half of the enterprises, the founders of "Zukor T" have left, features ownership registered in the name of 29-year-old Arthur Boatman from Mariupol, the second half – in the name of 29-year-old Sergey Verigin from Kiev. It was suggested that this is an attempt by owners of "T-Zukor" to safeguard holding’s assets, which face the blow from the company's creditors who are trying to recover outstanding debts.
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the Agency of statistics, the consumer prices for sugar fell by 0.5% in June 2015 in Kazakhstan; from the beginning of the year the decline has made 8.6%.
