RUSSIA
According to the monitoring data by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia for the period January 1 – June 22, 2015, the national sugar industry has processed 505,800 tons of raw sugar and produced 495,600 tons of refined sugar (3.7 more than in 2014). Volumes of import of raw sugar in January-June 2015 (as of 21 June) are 9.8% less than in 2014. For the week of June 22 to 29 the wholesale price of sugar has increased by 0.5%, retail price – has dropped 0.3%.

Shareholders of “Valuykisahar” (owned by GC “Rusagro”) have decided not to pay dividends for 2014 season. Net profit last year grew 3.8 times compared to 2013 operational year – up to RUR 109.8 million; revenues have grown by 38% to reach RUR 7.4 billion followed the increased sales of the main products of the factory (by 27% compared to 2013).
MOLDOVA
According to railway statistics by Sugar.Ru, in the period from the beginning of the year to June 29, 2015 Moldova has delivered to Kazakhstan 37.3 thousand tons of white sugar transit Russia and made itself a transit country for over 2 thousand tons of Romanian sugar dispatched to Kazakhstan (1014 MT) and Kyrgyzstan (1046 MT).
