RUSSIA

Over the past week (June 9 to 15, 2015) Russian consumer price of sugar fell by 0.5%, according to Rosstat. From the beginning of June 2015 the consumer price for sugar fell by 1%, and from the beginning of the year has grown by 10.1%.

According to figures issued by the Federal State Statistics Service, sugar beet was seeded on an area of 994 000 ha as of June 1, 2015 (+ 9.2% vs. 2014).

AFK "Systema" may become a shareholder of the agricultural holding "Razguliay", Vladimir Yevtushenkov, the main owner of the AFK, has told yesterday.

According to price monitoring by sugar.ru, in the period June 11 – 18, 2015, the US dollar exchange rate has dropped by 1.7% (on June 11 – US$ 1 = RUR 54.82; on June 18 US$1 = RUR 53.90). Moscow RUR price of sugar fell by RUR 0.90/kg (-2.22%), Krasnodar price has decreased by RUR 0.50/kg (- 1.30%). Moscow US dollar equivalent price of sugar fell by US$ 0.004/kg (-0.54%), in Krasnodar the price grew by US$ 0.003/kg (+ 0.43%).

UKRAINE

According to railway monitoring Sugar.Ru, as of June 18, Ukraine has supplied through Russia 65 thousand tons of refined white sugar. The largest receiver of Ukrainian sugar is Kyrgyzstan - 49.7 thousand tons.

MOLDOVA

According to provisional estimates the area planted with sugar beet in Moldova has made 22-24 thousand hectares.
