RUSSIA
According to the monitoring figures by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the country has processed 448,900 tons of raw sugar and produced 439,900 tons of sugar this year as of June 8, 2015 (2.2% less than in 2014). Volumes of raw sugar import in January-June 2015 (as of June 7) have dropped by 12.8% compared to 2014. During the week June 8 to 15, the wholesale price of sugar rose by 1.6%, retail has decreased by 0.4%.

UKRAINE
About a hundred activists have blocked the highway "Berdichev – Vinnitsa" protesting against the destruction of Brodetsky sugar factory in Kozyatinsky district of Vinnitsa region.

According to forecasts of the agency "AAA", the harvest of sugar beet in Ukraine will amount to 11- 11,1 million MT in 2015, which will facilitate production of about 1.4 - 1.45 million tons of sugar.

In April 2015 prices for imported sugar have increased by 6.4% in Kazakhstan the Statistics Agency reports.
