RUSSIA
According to the monitoring data by the Ministry of Agriculture, total volume of production of refined sugar out of imported raws has made 203.3 thousand tons from the beginning of the year and as of March 30, 2015 (4.8% higher than in 2014). Volumes of raw sugar imports in January-March 2015 (as of 30 March) are down by 33% compared to 2014. For the week of March 31 to April 6, the wholesale price of sugar has not changed; the retail price has decreased by 0.8%.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated April 7, 2015, total 10 vessels have been nominated to carry 362950 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 142350 MT from 4 vessels, based on sugar.ru data.

Sugar import from foreign countries in March 2015 has made US$ 51.8 mln, contrarily, the value of sugar imports in March 2015 increased 3.1 times compared to February 2015. On annual basis (March 2015 to March 2014) has decreased by 36.8%, according to the Federal Customs Service.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has endorsed the Federal Law "On Amendments to Part Two of the Tax Code of Russian Federation", which provides to identify taxpayers’ income, who use the tax system for agricultural producers or the simplified taxation system, in the manner prescribed by paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 248 of the Tax Code. In particular, such taxpayers will have the right to exclude the income for the amount of value added tax, charged to the buyer (purchaser) of goods (works, services, property rights), as the corresponding amounts shall be payable by the taxpayer to the budget.
UKRAINE
Farmers in Ukraine have planted 49,000 hectares with sugar beet by April 6, or 18% of the forecast (in 2014 – the progress was 263 thousand According to the State Statistics Service, consumer prices for sugar in the country grew by 39.2% in March 2015 and from the beginning of the year the growth made 55.3%.
KYRGYZSTAN
Today the sugar market in Kyrgyzstan is r by two companies only: "Kaindy-Kant" and JSC "Koshoy", according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.
BELARUS
The downtrend of Belarusian sugar supply to Russia that emerged in 2014 continues in the beginning of 2015. According to the National Statistics Committee, sugar exports have made 32 200 tons in January 2015, which is 10.7% less than in January 2014, volume of supply to the Russian sugar market has decreased by 16.9% in terms of volume to make total 29 700 tons. With a total sugar exports fall in value (by 7.3%) to make US$ 19.2 million exports to Russia fell by 13.3% to US$ 17.7 million.
