RUSSIA
Some enterprises in Krasnodar region have already started sugar beets sowing campaign from March 10, 2020. This year, favorable conditions for earlier sowing have developed in the Southern Federal District (about 10 days earlier than usual), KWS RUS reports.

Average consumer price for granulated sugar in February 2020 amounted to 30.22 rubles per 1 kg, which is 0.26 rubles, less than a month ago, according to Rosstat.

According to the results of the 2019/220 campaign, Agrosila has processed 1.2 million tons of sugar beets (100%) and produced 174 thousand tons of sugar, which is 8% higher than in the previous year.
KAZAKHSTAN
It is planned to seed 22.0 thousand hectares with sugar beet in 2020 in Kazakhstan, according to the figures sounded at a governmental meeting.
UKRAINE
According to the results of the first half of the 2019-2020 marketing year, Ukraine has exported 47.6 thousand tons of sugar, which is 80% less than in the same period of the previous marketing year, Ukrtsukor reports. Sugar export in this marketing year amounted to 8.4 thousand tons in February, which is almost four times less than in February of the previous marketing year. The major receiver-countries includes Lebanon (5.5 thousand tons) and Turkey (1 thousand tons).
