RUSSIA

According to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 296,300 hectares (29% of total acreage); collected total 12.0 million tons with average yield of 40.52 MT/ha, as of September 18, 2015. Total number of plans operating on bet make 65; total volume processed has reached 6,733,200 tons with 914 100 tons of white sugar produced.

Wholesale price of sugar has decreased by 1.7%; retail price has decreased by 0.1% during a week September 1-7, 2015.

The national volume of sugar production has amounted to 638.9 thousand tons in the period January- July 2015, which is 21.5% less than the same period in 2014. The volume of imports of white sugar in January-June 2015 is lower by 24.5% than in the same period of 2014, according to the Federal Customs Service of Russia and the National Statistics Committee.

According to the local Agriculture department of Stavropol region, sugar beet was harvested in the area of 14.0 thousand hectares (or 44.7% of the plan) by 18 September 2015; bulk harvest makes 664,900 tons with an average yield of 47.49 MT/ha. "Stavropolsahar" JSC (Izobilnensky sugar plant) has received 206,300 tons of sugar beet including 189,700 tons processed by report date. Sucrose content  makes 14.9% from the beginning of harvesting season.

Farmers in Bashkortostan have harvested sugar beet from the area of 11 208 hectares by September 18, with an average yield of 24.8 MT/ha the volume of beet collected has made 277,400 tons.

UKRAINE

Sugar beet was harvested from total 14 thousand hectares (6%) by September 18. The bulk harvest collected makes 540,000 tons with average yield of 37.4 MT/ha, according to the Ministry of Agrarian

BELARUS

According to the National Statistics Committee, by the end of 7 calendar months (January-July 2015), the total volume of sugar exports from the Republic of Belarus to Kazakhstan has made 29,960 tons; to Russia – 184,600 tons.

Sugar beet was harvested from an area of 21,600 hectares (21.6% of total due) by September 21, 2015. Total volume harvested has made 576,700 tons with an average yield of 26.74 MT/ha. The content of sucrose in beet makes 17.6%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.
