RUSSIA
Imports of sugar from non-CIS countries in April 2015 amounted to 68 million US dollars. At the same time, the value of sugar imported in April increased by 31.2% compared to March, and year-on-year (April 2015 to April 2014) has grown by 89.9%, according to the Federal Customs Service.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated May 12, 2015, total 14 vessels have been nominated to carry 476 450 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 317 350 MT from 9 vessels, based on sugar.ru data.
According to the monitoring data of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation dated May 12, 2015, the country has manufactured 4 438 100 tons of sugar in the 2014/2015 agricultural year from sugar beet harvest in 2014 season (which is up by 1.5% than in 2013/2014 season). Industrial producer price for refined beet sugar was RUR 35.60/kg in March 2015 marking a decrease over the month of 0.2%; from the beginning of the year the prices have lost total 19.3%. In 2015, as of May 5, the national sugar industry has processed 289 900 tons of raw sugar with 284,100 tons of sugar produced (13.6% less than in 2014).

On May 8 presidents of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia have signed the documents approving accession of Kyrgyzstan to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union.
BELARUS
According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, consumer prices for sugar increased by 1.2% in April 2015. The average price for sugar in April has made 10,994 Belarus rubles per 1 kg. From the beginning of the year consumer prices for sugar in Belarus increased by 5.1% (compared to December 2014).
UKRAINE
After a sharp rise in prices because of panic moods in February 2015, followed price reduction in March, prices in the sugar market have become stable in April. Today prices are at the level of UAH 10- 11 thousand/MT (in February the price was up to UAH 16-17 thousand/MT).
ARMENIA
In Armenia the consumer prices for sugar increased by 3% in April 2015 compared to the previous month, the National Statistical Service reported.
