RUSSIA

The list of arbitration cases with the largest sugar companies and factories from November 1 to November 28, 2018. The limit of the claim amount is not less than 200 thousand rubles.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of November 26, 2018, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 1.1 million hectares or 98.7% of the harvesting area (in 2017 - 1.1 million hectares). Bulk volume collected makes 41.1 million tons (48.5 million tons in 2017), with a yield of 37.58 MT/ha (in 2017 – 43.14 MT/ha).

BELARUS

On November 27, 2018, 4,655,700 tons of sugar beet was delivered to beet collection points, which is 96% of the required volume, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

UKRAINE

As of November 27, 2018, total volume of beets processed has made 10.72 million tons with 1,440.4 thousand tons of sugar produced at 40 sugar factories operated during the season, Ukrtsukor reports.

AZERBAIJAN

In January-September Azerbaijan exported 35,742 tons of sugar. Compared to the same period last year, exports in quantitative terms fell by 31.6%, the Azerbaijani government said. The main export was to Turkmenistan with 28.416 thousand tons of sugar exported in the first 9 months of 2018. During the reporting period, 173,133 thousand tons of sugar were imported, which is 35.2% less than the same period in 2017. Brazil became the main supplier of raw sugar to Azerbaijan – in 9 months of 2018 total 141.803 thousand tons of sugar; the main supplier of white sugar is Ukraine with 19,115 thousand tons delivered to the country.
