According Soyuzrossakhar, Russia has harvested 868.2 thousand hectares of sugar beet (85.0% of the crop) by October 27, 2015, making average yield of 37.9 MT from hectare.
According to figures by the Ministry of Agriculture dated October 27, 2015; sugar beet was harvested from an area of 868.2 thousand ha or 85.0% of the total crop acreage. Collected total 32.7 million MT, with average yields of 37.63 MT/ha.
Koksu sugar refinery has started processing the new crop of sugar beet in Kazakhstan on October 12, 2015, reports Soyuzrossahar. This year it is expected to receive and process at 2 sugar factories about 100 thousand tons of sugar beet in total.
According to the analysis of data by FCS of Kazakhstan conducted by Sugar.Ru, in 9 months (January - September) of 2015 the exports have amounted to 333.3 tons of sugar, exports of other sugars – 2100.8 tons. Imports of sugar to the country have made 246,200 tons, imports of other sugars – 3092.6 tons.
Yields of sugar beet fell to 27.41 MT/ha or by 42% compared to the same period of formidable 2014, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, sugar beets are grown only in the Chui region of the country in 2015, where 3.9 thousand hectares (out of 5000 hectares of crops) are harvested by October 27. The yield made 33.8 MT/ha, bulk harvest – 132.9 thousand tons.
