RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture report, sugar beet in Russia was planted on an area of 714,000 hectares as of April 30, 2015 or 72.8% of the forecast (in 2014 - 709,300 hectares planted).

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated May 5, 2015; total 13 vessels have been nominated to carry 446450 mt of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 317350 mt from 9 vessels, based on sugar.ru data.
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the national Statistics Agency, Kazakhstan consumer sugar prices have decreased by 2% in April 2015; from the beginning of the year the decline of consumer sugar prices has made 8.6%.

In Zhualynsky region of Kazakhstan more than ten farms planned to allocate 300 hectares for sugar beet manufacture in current sowing season; the crop was not grown here for five years.
