RUSSIA

Mr. Vadim Moshkovich, co-owner of "Rusagro", is back to business. He was elected head of the board of directors of "Rusagro" following resignation the powers a member of the Federation Council from the Belgorod region in mid-December 2014. Mr. Moshkovich has replaced Richard Smythe who was serving as chairman of the board of "Rusagro".

"Rusagro" has bought the debt-claims of companies Ivolga Group from the bank; the assets were secured by the assets of "Zolotukhinsky sugar mill."

 

BELARUS

The national stocks of sugar totalled 151,700 tons as of May 1, 2015, 14.8% less than it was on April 1, 2015, the National Statistical Committee reports.

According to the National Statistics Committee, Belarus imported 31,800 tons of sugar in solid state (HS code 1701) in January-March 2015, which is 68% less than in 2014. The total cost amounted to US$ 11.756 million.

UKRAINE

Agricultural enterprises (excluding those in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol), sold sugar at an average of UAH 7670.6/MT excl. VAT in April 2015 (in March the price was UAH 7378.4/MT average).

Gross harvest of sugar beet in Ukraine in 2015 will amount to 9.5 million tons, which is 38.7% less than last year (15.5 million tons), according to forecasts by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
