RUSSIA
Consumer sugar prices have decreased by 2% from the beginning of April 2015, from the beginning of the year the growth has made 14.6%, according to Rosstat.

According to monitoring of regional prices by sugar.ru, in the period April 16–23, the exchange rate has strengthened dollar by 6.3% (on Apr 16 – US$ 1 = RUR 50.50; on Apr 23 – US$ 1 = RUR 53.66). Traditionally Ruble prices follow the rate, wholesale Moscow rouble price for sugar rose by RUR 0.70/kg (+ 1.75%), wholesale Krasnodar price rose by RUR 0.60/kg (+ 1.56%). In the US dollar equivalent the prices have decreased: Moscow price has lost US$ 0,034/kg (- 4.28%), Krasnodar – US$ 0.033/kg (- 4.33%).
UKRAINE
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine (excluding the Crimea and Sevastopol) have sold 198 000 tons of sugar in January-March, which is 17.9% more than in the same period of 2014.

Ukraine has exported 43 000 tons of beet sugar from the beginning of 2014/15 Marketing Year and as of April 1; with a view of the forecast figure 50 000 MT to exported before the end of the Marketing Year (ends on August 31, 2015), according to the Economic Development Ministry. Carryovers of commodity by the end of the season are projected to make 612 000 MT. By April 1, stocks of sugar in Ukraine were 1.358 million tons.

According to the rail cargo monitoring data by Sugar.Ru, from the beginning of the year and as of April 20, Ukraine has supplied 49.3 thousand tons of sugar by rail transit Russia. The leading receiver of the Ukrainian export is Kyrgyzstan – 42.3 thousand MT. Together with this Ukraine and Russia became transit countries for the Polish (total 6 400 tons) and Slovak (3 000 MT) shipments of sugar.
BELARUS
According to "Belsahar" update as of April 23, 2015, the Republic of Belarus has sown total 73,900 hectares with sugar beet (or 75.4% of the planned crop area). In 2014 on same date total acreage planted was 97,200 hectares. Sowing campaign is ongoing in agricultural organizations of Brest (seeded 76.4% of the plan), Grodno (75.4%), Minsk (81.9%) and Mogilev (25.8%) regions.
