The price for white beet sugar from industrial producers according to the SM PB (Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation) amounted to RUR 46.42/kg as of 01/26/2022 (+0.8% for the week).

Rusagro Group has published operating results for the 4th quarter of 2021. Compared to Q4 2020, the revenue of the sugar segment increased by 74% to reach RUR 12.2 billion. The segment revenues comprise direct sugar and by-products sale such as pulp and betaine, and other categories of consumer products (cereals).
Some ‘sugar’ data of Rusagro in the Q4 2021 compared to the same period in 2020:
- sugar sales volumes increased by 61% to make 228 thousand tons;
- 583 thousand tons of sugar produced (+20%);
- sugar beet sales increased by 35% to reach 2,869 thousand tons.
