RUSSIA
According to Soyuzrossahar, as of January 24, 2022, Russia produced 5.39 million tons of sugar from beets harvested in 2021, which is 0.43 million tons more than last year. At the current date, 4 sugar factories are operating. Completion of sugar production is expected before the end of January.
KYRGYZSTAN
The Bakai-Ata sugar beet processing plant in the Talas region has resumed operation, local press reports. This year, it is planned to modernize the plant, after which the DC on beet will increase to 1,000 tons.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce proposes to extend the VAT exemption for sugar imported by the State Material Reserves Fund until December 31, 2022.
BELARUS
Stocks of sugar with the industrial enterprises amounted to 256.9 thousand tons as of January 1, 2022, which is 30.7% more than the volume of stocks as of the first day of last month, reports the National Statistical Office of the Republic of Belarus.
