According to the Federal Customs Service, sugar imports from non-CIS countries amounted to 24.1 million US dollars in December 2021. At the same time, the cost volume of sugar imports on an annualized basis (by December 2020) increased by 18% (probably, the FCS includes imports from the Far Abroad and imports of Belarusian sugar - Sugar.Ru).

The price for white beet sugar from industrial producers as of 01/19/2022 amounted to 46.04 rubles/kg (+0.4% for the week), according to the SM PB (Ministry of Agriculture).

On January 21, 2022, 9 sugar contracts were sold at NTB. The total volume of sales has made 720 MT at the average price of RUR 49951/MT (US$653,46/MT at the exchange rate of CBR on date indicated). Trading session closed at $654.1/MT (CFO), $654.1/MT (PFO).
BELARUS
Last season, the Zhabinka sugar factory produced almost 130,000 tons of sugar, a third more than in 2020. According to preliminary calculations, the profit of the Zhabinka sugar factory will be at least Br12 million (RUR 357.66 million), in 2020 - Br236 thousand (RUR 7.03 million).
