KAZAKHSTAN

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the government to introduce temporary state regulation of prices for socially significant products, incl. sugar, for a period of 180 days.

UKRAINE

In 2021, farmers harvested 10.6 million tons of sugar beet, which is 2.3 million tons (28.7%) more than in 2020 (8.2 million tons), according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. The average sugar beet yield was 46.9 MT/ha, which is 6 MT/ha higher than in 2020 (40.9 MT/ha).

As of December 31, 2021 Ukraine has produced 1301.3 thousand tons of sugar out of 9.17 million tons of sugar beet processed, Ukrtsukor reports.

BELARUS

The Council of Ministers of Belarus has set the volume of purchases of sugar beets for republican state needs in 2022 in the amount of 3.1 million tons.
