RUSSIA
Raw sugar turnover in the seaport of Novorossiysk increased 11 times compared to previous year and amounted to 627.074 thousand tons (567.986 thousand tons or 961.24% more than in 2020), which is associated with an increase in demand from Asian countries CIS for the supply of imported raw sugar for processing against the background of a decrease in exports of white sugar from the Russian Federation.

As of November 9, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from 950 thousand hectares; bulk harvest makes 38.1 million tons, the Ministry of Agriculture reports.
