Rusagro has published operating results for the quarter III of 2021. The sugar segment revenue increased by 13% compared to the same period in 2020, to reach RUR 7.7 billion. The segment's revenues are comprised of sugar sales and by-products sales such as pulp and betaine. Other significant operational results of Rusagro are:
- reduction of sugar sales by 12% (vs. Q3 2020) - down to 179 thousand tons.
- production of 169 thousand tons of sugar - 1% less than in the same period of the previous year
- the volume of sugar beet sales decreased by 6% (vs. Q3 2020) to make 720 thousand tons.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the volume of raw sugar imports to the current year (excluding trade with the EAEU countries) amounted to 6.8 thousand tons as of October 17, 2021 (in 2020 - 5.1 thousand tons). The price from industrial producers as of October 18, 2021 was RUR 40.69/kg for white beet sugar (+1.6% per week).

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of October 22, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from 761.9 thousand hectares; bulk harvest makes 29.6 million tons.
