Voronezh department of Prodimeks renewed its fleet and agricultural machinery by almost 1 billion rubles, a company representative said. The main investments were made in equipment: the company allocated almost 70 million rubles to update the car fleet and over 900 million rubles to update agricultural machinery.

The Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) also updated the forecast for sugar production in the 2019/20 season, increasing it from 7.4 million tons to 7.6 million tons, taking into account the production from syrup and molasses. Mikhail Pak, head of the sugar business at Pokrovsky Concern, estimates the potential for sugar production at 7.5-7.6 million tons, and exports - 600-700 thousand tons.

Merkensky sugar factory fails to pay farmers for sugar beets received last year. Workers do not get paid for several months. 177 peasant farms in the region should receive more than one billion tenge (about 166 million rubles) for the harvest of beet supplied to the factory, the local press reports.
