UKRAINE
According to the results of the production season 2019, Astarta factories produced 22% of sugar in the total national production volume. In the 2019/2020 marketing year over 1.9 million tons of sugar beets was accepted for processing and 301.5 thousand tons of sugar produced. The share of sugar of the highest category increased to 95.5% of total company production (in 2018 - 86%), including 75.6 thousand tons of extra-class sugar produced – an increase by 37%, the press service of Astarta reported.
BELARUS
The detention of the heads of all sugar factories of the republic by law enforcement bodies of Belarus is connected with fraudulent schemes of product deliveries to Russia, said the general prosecutor of Belarus Alexander Konyuk.
