The Federal Law N 448 FZ  “On Amending the Federal Law" On State Regulation of the Production and Turnover of Ethyl Alcohol, Alcohol and Alcohol-Containing Products and on the Limitation of Consumption (Drinking) of Alcoholic Products” has taken effect on November 28, 2019.

UKRAINE

As of November 27, 2019, 218 thousand ha of sugar beets were harvested and 9 728 thousand tons were collected. The average field yield makes 44.52 MT/ha against 49.4 MT/ha in 2018. Ukrtsukor forecasts that the national sugar production in the 2019/2020 season will make 1.1–1.2 million tons (1.82 million tons in the season 2018/2019).

As of November 28, 2019, 8.37 million tons of beets were processed and 1257.6 thousand tons of sugar produced, Ukrtsukor reports.

The first phase of the biogas complex was opened at the Yuzef-Nikolaev AIC, LLC, in the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine. The company processes beet pulp, silage, recyclables, organic waste into biogas, and that, in turn partially covers the energy demand of the sugar factory for electricity. The projected capacity of the complex is 5.2 MW.
