RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of November 15, 2018, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 1089.31 thousand hectares or 98.24% of the area sown (in 2017 – 1104.22 thousand hectares). Bulk harvest of 40.64 million tons was collected (in 2017 – 47.51 million tons), with average yield of 37.3 MT/ha (in 2017 – 43.03 MT/ha).

KAZAKHSTAN

According to the analysis of trade data with the countries of the EEU from the Bureau of national statistics of Kazakhstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, for 9 months (January-September) of 2018, the export of white sugar (HS code 170199) was 1762.3 tons, imports - 174.7 thousand tons. The main supplier of white sugar to Kazakhstan was Russia - 102.8 thousand tons.

UKRAINE

According to Statkom of Ukraine, conducted by Sugar.Ru, wholesale price of sugar from producers decreased over the month by 4.16% in October 2018 and has made 9066.4 UAH/MT (in previous month - 9460.2 UAH/MT, in October 2017 - 11227.0 UAH/MT). Russian rouble equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has decreased over the month by 6.70% in October 2018 and has made 21423.9 RUB/MT (in previous month - 22963.5 RUB/MT, in October 2017 - 24388.1 RUB/MT). USD equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has decreased over the month by 3.44% in October 2018 and has made 324.7 USD/MT (in previous month - 336.3 USD/MT, in October 2017 - 423.3 USD/MT)
