RUSSIA

Average consumer price for refined sugar amounted to 41.29 rubles per 1 kg in June 2018, which is 1.8 rubles higher than a month ago. In June 2018 Russia produced 150 thousand tons of chocolate and confectionery sugary products (+5.4% to the previous month and + 14.5% by June 2017), Rosstat reports.

According to Sugar.ru price monitoring data for the period from 11.07.2018 to 18.07.2018 the US dollar rate has remained at the level of RUR 62.44/$. Ruble Moscow wholesale price for sugar dropped by 0.10 RUR/kg (-0.34%), Krasnodar wholesale price increased by 1.00 RUR/kg (+3,45%). US dollar Moscow wholesale price for sugar dropped by $0.002 /kg (-0.42%), Krasnodar wholesale price increased by $0.016 /kg (+3.45%).

BELARUS

According to the analysis of Belarus FCS data conducted Sugar.Ru in 5 months of 2018 (January-May), the export of other sugar (HS 170199) amounted to 182.0 thousand tons (95.30% compared to the same period of 2017). Import has made 26 457.0 tons (150.30% against the same period of 2017). The main recipient countries of Belarusian sugar are: Russia (105 thousand tons), Ukraine and Kazakhstan (18 thousand tons each). Imported white sugar arrived in Belarus from Russia (20 thousand tons) and Poland (7 thousand tons)

Export of molasses (HS 1703) has made 35 437.0 MT (4 times up vs. the same period in 2017), the export of sugar beet pulp (HS 230320) - 9580.0 MT
