RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by May 22, 2018, sugar beet was sown on the area of 1109.0 thousand hectares or 101.2% of the forecast (in 2017 - 1.2 million hectares).
KYRGYZSTAN
According to Statkom of Kyrgyzstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, sugar production increased over the month by 20.49% in April 2018 and has made 14.7 tons (in the previous month - 12.2 tons, in April 2017 - 416.3 tons, in April 2016 - 9.7 tons). Total 19361 tons of sugar have been produced in January-April 2018 (in January-April 2017 - 32035 tons).
