RUSSIA

The 2017 season of sugar beet processing is over for JSC "Elan-Kolenovsky sugar plant" with the following production outcome: 190.5 thousand tons of sugar; 50 thousand tons of granulated pulp. The total volume of sugar beet processed has made 1.364 thousand tons.

KAZAKHSTAN

According to the analysis of figures by the Statkom of Kazakhstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, the wholesale price of sugar in January 2018 decreased by 6.70% and amounted to 181 tenge / kg, in rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the middle of the reporting month - 31.08 rubles per kilo in 2017 - 234 tenge / kg, in 2016 - 193 tenge / kg).

UKRAINE

According to the Statkom: In January 2018, (by December), consumer sugar prices fell by 1%, and by January 2017, - by 8.8%. In January of 2018, compared to the previous month, sugar prices from manufacturers increased by 0.8%, and in annual terms (by January 2017) - decreased by 6.8%.

In January 2018, Ukrainian producers exported 76.4 thousand tons of sugar (64% more than in the previous month).

BELARUS

In January of 2018 consumer prices for granulated sugar in the country decreased by 0.67% vs. December 2017). The average consumer price for refined sugar was 1.58 Belarusian rubles per kilogram in January (45.94 rubles / kg at the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation).

MOLDOVA

Consumer prices for refined sugar decreased by 0.5% in January of 2018 (from the previous month), and for the year (by January 2017) increased by 0.5%.

TURKMENISTAN

On February 10, in a course of one day, the dollar exchange rate in Turkmenistan fluctuated from 14 to 15 manats (from 233.01 to 249.66 rubles / kg). Following the dollar, a kilogram of sugar rose in price from 5 to 7 manats during the day (from 83.22 to 116.51 rubles / kg).
