RUSSIA

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS, in July 2017 Russia has exported 288.0 thousand tons of molasses. According to the results of 7 months of molasses export campaign, Russia has shipped out 288.0 thousand tons (in 2016 - 203.4 thousand MT; in 2015 - 122.4 thousand MT). In the period January - July 2017, the main countries importers of molasses from Russia were Turkey (52.79%) and Spain (16.92%).

UKRAINE

As of September 22, 2017, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 42 thousand hectares or 13% of crop acreage (total due: 318 thousand hectares), with 1.8 million tons of beets harvested at an average yield of 42.6 MT/ha, reports the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

BELARUS

By September 25, 2017, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 24.4 thousand hectares or 24.9% of the sown area (in 2016 - 27.5 thousand hectares), according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. Bulk harvest has made 1 086 thousand tons, with average yield of 44.58 MT/ha.

KYRGYZSTAN

According to Statkom, sugar production decreased by -0.77% and amounted to 38.6 tons in August 2017 (in 2016 - 25.9 tons, in 2015 - 14.3 tons). Thus, total volume of sugar produced since the beginning of 2017 has reached 32 188.9 tons.

The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) finances the construction of two sugar plants in the republic. In October, Kaindinsky sugar plant, which has been idle for more than ten years, and another new plant in Shokopov, will start operation, the Fund spokesman said.
