RUSSIA
Rusagro Group and Dominant Group are planning to launch all their sugar plants until August 25.

As of August 14, enterprises of the Krasnodar region has processed 1 million tons of sugar beet, and produced 103.5 thousand tons of sugar and 24.9 thousand tons of dried pulp, according to the regional administration.

The Tatarstan and the Kursk region have started harvesting sugar beets.
As of August 15, 2017, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 25.1 thousand hectares or 2.1% of the sown area (in 2016 - 23.7 thousand hectares).
According to local press reports, the sugar beet harvesting campaign started in the Lipetsk region.

KAZAKHSTAN
According to the EAEU, sugar imports (HS code 1701) amounted to 46.36 thousand tons in June 2017; in January-June 2017 total 180.53 thousand tons were imported (white sugar and raw-sugar). The main suppliers of white sugar into Kazakhstan were Russia and Belarus, and Brazil for cane sugar.

The Ministry of agriculture of Kazakhstan expects an increase in sugar production in 1.4 times (from 36 thousand to 51 thousand tons).
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the National statistic committee, in June 2017 the average consumer price of sugar made 55.40 Som/kg (+3.23% to the previous month, +1.42% from the beginning of the year and +1.33% to June 2016) or RUR 47.91/kg at CBR mid-month average.
UKRAINE
In the Volyn region, two sugar plants will be operating during the new sugar refining season - The «Gnidavsky Sugar Plant» and the «Ivanichevsky sugar Plant» ("Evropatsukor"). The «Gnidavsky Sugar Plant» will start receiving sugar beets on August 25, the regional administration reports.
