RUSSIA
The daily capacity Dobrinsky sugar factory (Lipetsk region) in the season-2017/18 will be 11 thousand tons of sugar beet, said the financial director of Sucden in Russia Gleb Tikhomirov. In 2016/17 agricultural year the enterprise processed 10.6 thousand tons per day.

The sugar beet acreage sown by GC "Rusagro" has made 92.7 thousand hectares in 2017 (less by 5% vs. 2016 (98.1 thousand hectares)), the company press service reported.

According to Soyuzrossahar, the dynamics of sugar beet development is as follows (average for Russia) as of July 11, 2017:
- The weight of beet is 149 g (in 2016, 190 g, in 2015 -179 g)
- The weight of top is 272 g (in 2016 - 282 g, in 2015 - 304 g).
BELARUS
According to the Belgospischeprom Concern, as of July 11, 2017, the weight of beet was 124.1 g in the Republic of Belarus, which is 27% less than in 2016 - 169.9 g; the weight of the tops was almost 302.3 g. Sugar beet was sown on an area of 99.1 thousand hectares in Belarus, in 2016 - by 95.4 thousand hectares.
KAZAKHSTAN
Modernization works are underway at the Koksu sugar factory. The facilities projected include full automation of the calcination furnace, thermal power station, installation of high-speed heaters, etc. The annual production capacity of the enterprise is 180-200 thousand tons of sugar.

According to the EAEC, sugar imports (HS code 1701) amounted to 18.58 thousand tons from the EAEC countries in May 2017; in January-May 2017 total 83.16 thousand tons were imported, which is 86 times more than in similar period last year. Import of confectionery products from sugar (HS code 1704) amounted to 6.70 thousand tons for five months of 2017, import of water with sugar (HS code 2202) - 28.44 million litres.
