RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by May 5, 2017 sugar beet was sown at the area of 990.2 thousand hectares or 87.7% to the forecast (in 2016 - 810.4 thousand hectares).

Astarta-Kiev Holding has appeared at the website of the State Quarantine Service of China as an authorized supplier of granulated beet pulp.
BELARUS
By May 8, 2017 an area of 94 thousand hectares was sown with sugar beets (97.9% of the plan), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus reports.
