RUSSIA
Nizhny Novgorod department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia has issued the warning in the name of the Ministry of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region, requiring suspending the support of sugar manufacture in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
MOLDOVA
According to the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova, the export of goods listed under the category "sugar, sugar products and honey" has reached the value of US$ 52.8 million in 2016, which is 9.9% more than the same period of 2015. The imports for the same period made US$ 26.4 million, or doubled compared to 2015. Production of sugar confectionery has made 14 006.1 tons (+ 1.5% vs. 2015.).

UKRAINE
The association "Ukrsahar" aims to increase the area under sugar beet by at least 10% in Ukraine, to reach total 320 thousand ha, the chairman of the Association of Sugar Producers' “Ukrtsukor” Andrew Dykun has told.

The annual quota for 2017 (20 070 tons) for duty-free sugar exports to the EU is fully used. In the 2016/2017 marketing year total exports of sugar increased 33 times compared to the previous period – to make total 344 000 tons, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy .
