Lebedyansky sugar mill has completed the season of sugar manufacture. Total volume of raws received has made 1.126 million tons of sugar beet facilitating manufacture of 158,623 tons of sugar and more than 46 thousand tons of granulated pulp.

According to Rosstat, the wholesale price of sugar has increased by 3.5%, retail - decreased by 0.8% in the period January 24 to 30, 2017.
UKRAINE
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy started to accept applications for participation in the tender for the distribution of the quota "A" for sugar production in the period from September 1, 2017 to September 1, 2018.

According to the State Statistics Service total sales of sugar traded in the country amounted to UAH 18 394 700 000 in 2016 excluding VAT and excise tax (about RUR 40.822 billion at the current exchange rate). The volume of sugar sold outside the country has amounted to UAH 1 112 300 000 (About RUR 2.4684 billion), which equals to 6% of total sales.

Sugar prices rose for the week by average UAH 300/MT (RUR 660.2/MT). As of February 3, the selling price reached a level of UAH 14 800/ton (RUR 32 570/MT).

Sea ports of Ukraine have moved 19 090 tons of sugar for export in January 2017 (-23.6% compared to January 2016).
Production of sugar by "UPI-Agro" has increased by 30% in 2016 compared to 2015 and reached 253 000 tons, the press service of the company informed. The volume processed has made 1 570 thousand tons of sugar beet.
BELARUS
According to railway cargo monitoring by Sugar.Ru, in January 2017 Belarus has delivered 256 tons of white sugar in transit the territory of Russia. This is more than in January last year, but significantly less than two years ago, when, in January 2015, the Belarusian sugar deliveries totalled 3 300 tons. The fall in exports occurs due to the extremely times low price of sugar in Russia, which has substituted the Belarus commodity.
