RUSSIA
From the start of the season and by November 29, sugar factories in Tatarstan have received 1,623,200 tons of sugar beet, including 1.3603 million tons processed with 199,341 tons of sugar produced; sugar production yield makes 14.4%, according to Ministry of Agriculture of Tatarstan. JSC "Zainsky sugar" has produced 110,920 tons of sugar, LLC "Buinsky sugar" - 61,620 tons, JSC "Nurlatsky sugar" - 26,790 tons.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by November 28, 2016 sugar beet was collected from the area of 1.0854 million hectares, or 97.7% of the crop area in Russia (in 2015 - 992.5 thousand hectares).

According to the analysis of the FCS customs declarations, in October 2016 Russia has imported 2800 tons of raw sugar from countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 10 months the volume of imports of raw sugar to Russia has reached 155,400 tons (in 2015 - 251.6 thousand tons; in 2014 - 415.3 thousand tons).
UKRAINE
The new seed manufacturing plant owned by “KWS-Ukraine” company and situated in a town of Kamenetz-Podolsk of Khmelnitsky region was launched to operate at an area of 8.5 hectares with projected production capacity of 6 000 tons, the KWS company reported.

By November 1, 2016 the overall production of sugar beets for industrial processing has increased by 29.9% compared to the same period last year in Kirovograd region, according to the statistic committee of Kirovograd region.
