According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 834.1 thousand ha or 75.1% of the crop acreage by October 24, 2016. Bulk harvest has reached 37.4 million tons with the average yield of 44.79 MT/ha.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated October 25, 2016, total 36 vessels have been nominated to carry 1 224 300 MT of raw cane sugar in 2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 1 088 400 MT from 32 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
The country has produced 870.7 thousand tons of sugar by October 24, according to "Ukrtsukor". Total volume of beet processed makes 5.99 million tons, average sucrose content in beet at acceptance makes 17.86%
