"Sugar Plant" Kurganinsky" will resume operations after two years of inactivity, according to the local Ministry of Agriculture of the Krasnodar Region. Agroholding «Kanev» ("Pokrovsky" group) has become an investor for the company.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was sown on an area of 1,077,000 hectares, or 101.6% of the forecast as of June 14, 2016.

On June 14, 2016 sugar mills offer sugar at wholesale price UAH 12.25-12.50/kg (RUR 32.45-33.12/kg at the current rate of exchange). Compared to previous week the minimum price dropped by 0.8%, while the maximum decreased by 1.6%.
