Export and import of white sugar in January - December 2021 2021 (FCS)

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in December 2021 Russia has imported 5.7 thousand tons of white sugar (HS code 170199). According to the results of 12 months of white sugar import campaign, Russia has shipped in 152.6 thousand tons (in 2020 - 179.2 thousand MT; in 2019 - 299.0 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2021, the main countries exporters of white sugar to Russia were BELARUS (73.57%) and ALGERIA (7.21%).

In December 2021 Russia has exported 49.4 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 12 months of white sugar export campaign, Russia has shipped out 446.8 thousand tons (in 2020 - 1030.2 thousand MT; in 2019 - 603.4 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2021, the main countries importers of white sugar from Russia were KAZAKHSTAN (62.57%) and UKRAINE (15.41%).
