RUSSIA

According to the information provided by the analytical service of the non-governmental organization Soyuzrossakhar, as of July 11, the average beetroot weight in Russia was 165 g, which is 8% less than in the same period in 2019 (179g), but 24% more than in 2018. The daily growth rate of the root crop corresponds to the previous two seasons.

UKRAINE

Agro-industrial holding Astarta, the largest sugar producer in Ukraine, reduced sugar sales by 26% in April-June 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, to make total 74 thousand tons, the company representative has informed at the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

UZBEKISTAN

Sugar factories "Khorazm-Shakar" and "Angren-Shakar" will resume their work after resolving the issue of shortages of raw materials, the company announced in a joint statement. According to the statement, the two operating sugar factories "suspended production due to the fact that the raw materials ran out." Taking advantage of the situation, the enterprises began to carry out preparatory work.
