As of May 21, 2020, the sowing of sugar beets was carried out on an area of 20.5 thousand ha or 93.2% of the plan, according to the operational data of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to Goskomstat (the State Statistics Committee), as of May 1 of this year, the area of cultivation of sugar beets amounted to 4.7 thousand hectares.

Sugar segment revenues rose 46% YoY to EUR 29 million due to higher sales and higher selling prices up to EUR 352/MT compared to EUR 316/MT in Q1 2019. The segment's EBITDA increased to 3.4 million Euros compared to 2 million Euros in the 1st quarter of 2019.
