RUSSIA

About 3 million tons of beet were processed and 458 thousand tons of sugar produced in Kursk region; this volume exceeds by 30 thousand tons sugar production in the same period of 2018. The projects of Kursk sugar plants is to produce over 600 thousand tons of sugar this season, the regional administration reports.

The Cheremnovsky sugar factory has processed over 560 thousand tons of sugar beets as of November 22, 2019, which is 50 thousand tons more than last year, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Altai Territory reports. According to the management of the plant, a record volume of sugar production – about 150-160 thousand tons – is expected this year.

As of November 22, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 1.1 million hectares or 98.2% of the area sown (in 2018 - 1.1 million hectares), 53.1 million tons of beet collected (in 2018 - 41, 1 million tons) with average yield of 47.2 MT/ha (in 2018 – 37.59 MT/ha).

UKRAINE

According to the administration of Poltava region, about 200 thousand tons of sugar will be produced in the region this season.

As of November 22, 2019, 7.95 million tons of beets were processed and 1,190.2 thousand tons of sugar produced, Ukrtsukor reports.

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, analyzed by Sugar.Ru, in October 2019 Ukraine produced 624 thousand tons of beet sugar (-9.8% compared to October 2018). Beet sugar production in January-October 2019 amounted to 887 thousand tons (-13.8% compared to 2018).
